997 Porsche GT3 Cup car
The 997 GT3 Cup features a water-cooled normally aspirated 3.6 liter flat-six boxer race engine based on the current 997 GT3 street legal model.
The power plant includes four-valve technology, dry-sump lubrication, central air intake leading to a two-stage resonance intake distributor, sequential multi-point fuel injection and a racing exhaust with a fully controlled catalytic converter (400 cells).
It provides 309 kW (420bhp) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) and revs up to 8,400 rpm.
The power is transmitted to the rear wheels only via a six-speed sequential dog-type gearbox featuring an oil-water heat exchanger.
