After a disappointing end to their time at Bathurst at the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour last month, the father-son duo returned alongside Earl Bamber at the Kyalami 9 Hour to bring home P2 in class.
In what is a collaboration with Earl Bamber Motorsport and Grove Racing, Stephen, Brenton, Earl Bamber and Anton De Pasquale will take on the IGTC series this year sharing the driving duties among rounds.
The No. 4 Grove Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R of the crew finished second in Pro-Am after a puncture earlier in the race as well as two pit lane penalties, managing to get ahead of the No. 20 SPS Automotive Performance Mercedes in the last 90 minutes of the 9 Hour race.
In the closing hour of the race, Brenton made a move on Barr which provided a significant advantage in securing their P2 result.
The Crowdstrike 24 Hours of SPA will take place on 29 June 2023 - 2 July 2023 in what will be the 4th round.
