Stephen and Brenton Grove, both accomplished racers, have a plethora of experience which, combined with other up and coming talents, makes Grove Racing a leading team in our respective categories. We are proud to support these drivers on their journey and consider them part of the Grove Racing family and business network.

STEPHEN GROVE

As team owner and driver, Stephen Grove truly established his name within Australian racing as well as the business world. His passion and talent for racing has seen him compete internationally in GT and Porsche Carrera Cup. 

His vision and experience has driven the Grove Racing business as it expands to include new, exciting endeavours and Stephen continues to race in the 2022 Porsche Carrera Cup and a number of International races as part of GT. 

BRENTON GROVE

With racing in his blood, Brenton Grove has carved out a strong presence in the motorsport world, competing across top-tier categories including the GT World Challenge Australia, Super2 Series, and the FIA Motorsport Games GT Cup. A versatile and ambitious competitor, Brenton combines his on-track performance with a sharp focus off the track.

Beyond the driver’s seat, Brenton plays a pivotal role as Director of Operations across multiple businesses under the Grove Group banner. He oversees a diverse portfolio that includes Grove Racing

OSCAR TARGETT

Grove Junior Team standout Oscar Targett will take the next big step in his motorsport career in 2024, joining the grid in the prestigious Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia Championship.

After a successful campaign in the Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge and Toyota Gazoo 86 Series, the 19-year-old Queenslander now graduates to one of the most competitive one-make series in the country. The move marks a significant progression in Oscar’s journey, reflecting his rapid development and strong performances both in Australia and on the international karting stage.

Oscar’s talent was evident early, having competed with the Official BirelART Karting Team in Europe and finishing inside the top 20 at the 2022 FIA Karting World Championship. Now, as part of the Grove Junior Team program, he continues to receive structured support as he climbs toward professional motorsport success.

SEBASTIAN TANDER

The 12-year-old will be competing in the SP Tool Australian Kart Championship next year, as well as other marquee karting events, as he continues to forge his journey in motorsport.

KAI ALLEN

Kai Allen is a young Australian racing driver quickly making his mark in the Supercars Championship. Starting in karting at eight, he won multiple state and national titles before moving into circuit racing, where he impressed with his speed and skill.

After training under Paul Morris, Allen finished runner-up in the 2022 Super3 Series and won the 2023 Super2 title. He made his Supercars debut at the 2023 Bathurst 1000 with Dick Johnson Racing before securing a full-time drive with Grove Racing in 2025. With his rapid rise, he’s seen as a future star of the sport.

MATT PAYNE

Payne's rapid rise in motorsport saw him debut with Penrite Racing in 2023, culminating in a memorable victory in Adelaide. Before that, in 2022, he challenged for the Super2 title and made his mark at the Great Race alongside Lee Holdsworth.

His journey began in karting, where he won multiple championships, including the KZ2 National Sprint Championship. Despite his young age, Payne has already tasted success internationally, winning the 2021 Toyota Racing Series and claiming a podium finish in the New Zealand Grand Prix.

His talent was further recognized when he became the inaugural recipient of the Team Porsche NZ scholarship under the mentorship of Earl Bamber.
