The 2024 edition of the 12 Hours of Sepang unfolded with 17 cars on the Malaysian circuit, including 12 entries in the GT3 class, three in GT Cup (GTC), and two in TCR. This year's race marked a significant milestone as it returned to its full 12-hour format, departing from recent years marked by hiatuses and an eight-hour race in 2023. Teams from the Asia Pacific region converged at the Motul 12 Hours of Sepang, presenting a mix of experienced professionals, amateur drivers, and emerging talents, showcasing the rich diversity of endurance racing.
The trio of Stephan and Benton Grove, accompanied by supercar driver Matt Payne, started the race with determination. They were well-prepared and had adjusted their strategy accordingly, fully understanding the demands of the 12-hour endurance race at Sepang. As the race proceeded, the team's confidence grew. However, their optimism faded when, with only four hours remaining, Benton Grove faced a significant setback. This unexpected turn of events forced them to come to a halt, ultimately preventing them from finishing the race.
As Grove Racing regroups and devises its next plan of action, their determination to achieve success remains strong. Looking ahead, they are committed to learning from this experience, refining their strategies, and preparing for future races.
